In the days when demons and humans still lived in harmony...
Ever since money started circulating in the island kingdom of Hillsland, separated by the sea from the land of Eurodia, the number of demons suffering from money-woes had been increasing. Those who had lost their families or belongings had begun to attack the moneylenders, causing a rift to grow between the humans and the demons. And so they sought the help of an executive officer to do something about this rift.
Those who desired education in those days might obtain it in abbies such as the Royal Abbey, an institution famous for training the elite executive officers who supported the kingdom.
But despite its high reputation, there were still some applicants in the region who managed to gain entrance to this esteemed edifice via special admittance. One such was our protagonist, Ruin Dimidium, by far the worst-ranking student at the abbey. As the only pupil at the prestigious Royal Abbey who had no future employment decided, he was considered something of a problem student. Ruin would end up being appointed as the military officer of Boinbara.
To make matters worse, as soon as he arrived, Ruin was ordered by the lord of the castle to arrest the gang of thieves wreaking havoc in the area, or else be fired should he fail.
Worse yet, all his subordinates were demons, who refused to listen to him during the arrest and ended up abandoning him, leaving Ruin to handle the problem by himself.
And as if things weren’t bad enough as they were, the thieves captured Ruin and tied him up!
What on earth was Ruin going to do...?
